He is the producer who won an art festival award for his movie “Erab no Umi,” and he also has experience working on the documentary “Shino,” based on Arakawa Toyozo.
He established a kiln in Hachijojima and began creating pottery through self-study. Using sakaki evergreens from the island, he succeeded in making a creative ash glaze. He developed works made using lava glaze, etc. which he called Hachijo-yaki.
