Born in Tokushima City. Graduated from Kyoto Art University. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi, Kondo Yuzo, and Fujimoto Yoshimichi, and became independent in Mashiko in 1965. He has taught in the U.S., East Asia and Australia. Awarded the Minister of Foreign Affairs Prize at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Awarded the Minister of Foreign Affairs Prize at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, and the Excellence Prize at the North Kanto Art Exhibition. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. He has had solo exhibitions at Minami Aoyama Green Gallery, Mitsukoshi Department Store in Nihonbashi, and others. Recently, he has been working on silver-striped objects, vases, and other works with blue and white.
