1923-2001
Born in Gifu City. Studied under his father, Yamada Tetsu, and in 1948 formed Sodeisha with Yagi Kazuo and Suzuki Osamu. Received the Shinsho-kai Award and the Japan Ceramic Society Award. He has participated in many international exhibitions. White porcelain and ancient Chinese earthenware.
