Born into a pottery family in Tokoname. Graduated from Tokoname Technical School, Department of Ceramics. In 1950, he was selected for his first time for the National Ceramic Exhibition and the Nitten exhibition. Won the highest award at the Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition and Chunichi Prize at the Nitten. Awarded the Minister of Education Prize at the Japan Tea Vase Art Exhibition. Grand Prix at the International Exhibition in France. He has been awarded many prizes at the Modern Craft Exhibition, the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition and others. He has been a council member of the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, a lecturer at the Asahi Cultural Center, a representative of the Tokoname Ceramic Artists Association, and a member of the judging committee for the Chozo Prize Ceramic Art Exhibition. Natural glaze and high-fired unglazed ceramics.
