Graduated from the art department of Shizuoka University in 1971. In 1984, he quit his teaching position and began making pottery. Since then, he held solo exhibitions every year. Fascinated by the handwork of applying crests without using any stamping. Absorbed in the rush knitting crest and rope crest.
