His artist name is Koyo. He was born in Tokoname City. He established Koyo Pottery in 1970. He won the first Choza Prize in the design technology category in 1972. He won the Honorable Mention at the First Design Competition in 1981. His works include bonsai pots, water basins, and terracotta.
