In 1953, he built a climbing kiln to revive the mid-Edo period Suehiroyama ware (Minatoyama ware) in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, his father’s hometown, and in 1976, he moved to Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, where he built a climbing kiln with a six-rowed box.
Tea bowls, water jars, bowls and sake cups. He excelled in the production of E Karatsu ware.
