Born in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1979. Later, after working as a graduate and research student, he became an assistant at the Miyagi University of Education. Since 1981, he has participated in the annual group exhibition “Gosemfu no utsuwa”. His first solo exhibition was held at the Fujisaki Department Store in Sendai. His work has been selected for the New Traditional Crafts Exhibition and other exhibitions.
