Hanno pottery 飯能焼

Around 1832, Namiki Seikichi invited potters from Shigaraki and built a kiln in Hachiman Town, Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, and made simple everyday pottery painted using the slip trailing technique. In their heyday, the kiln was as famous as Mashiko and Kasama in the Kanto region, but they closed in 1887. Namikihonke Hanno ware collection ■View Ceramic Works■ Tags: hanno pottery
