A potter from Owari (Aichi Prefecture). He is said to have been active during the Keicho period (1596-1615). He is also known as Hachiemon. From excavations at the Yuemon kiln in the late Edo period, many bowls with the seal of “Kagetsugu” in small oval have been excavated.
